Below are some examples of how we can workout and be active in our daily life:

Walk or cycle, instead of taking public transport
We can choose to walk or cycle to our destination as a workout, instead of taking the public transport, if the location is not too far. Walking and cycling is a good workout and it helps us to save some transport costs too!
Taking the stairs, not the lift
We can choose to take the stairs of any multi-storied building (e.g. HDB, office building) instead of the lift. Taking the stairs is a low impact exercise that gives our heart and legs a good workout. If our destination is located at a high floor such as Level 14, we can opt to lessen our workout by taking the lift to a higher floor then taking the stairs for the rest of the journey. This way, we get to workout while ensuring we do not over-exert.
Play sports and get involved with low-impact activities
We can play active sports to workout our heart and muscles! For example, swimming, rowing, basketball. We can also get involved with low-impact activities such as yoga, dancing, pilates and tai-chi.
Stretch breaks and desk exercises
When studying or working for hours at our desk, we can take short breaks to stretch our muscles to alleviate tension and improve flexiblity too. Desk exercises comprise of simple movements such as seated leg raises, chair squats or desk push-ups.
